  • SEND

At Estuary Academy North (EAN) we are committed to understanding all of our pupils and supporting them to overcome barriers to their learning. We have an extensive SEND team led by our Deputy Headteacher and Lead for Inclusion, Abi Woodhouse, and our SENCO, Dawn Johnson, who assess where pupils need support and put in place targeted interventions.

We ensure that every pupil has a long term plan of support extending into post-16 destination, so the success they experience with us continues into the next phase of their education and training. This could be as simple as a set of strategies for the pupil to follow or supporting a family to achieve an Education Health Care Plan for a specific need.

Our SEND policySEND information report and SEND Reading Strategy set out how we deliver SEND support across the service and give examples of our practice.
